Lexis is a café and wine bar adjoining the entrance to the Paragon apartments, a new residential quarter at the junction between Prenzlauer Allee and Danziger Strasse in Berlin. A café by day, it becomes a wine bar in the evening.

Slotted into a long narrow space, the bar runs almost the entire length of the room, making the most of the window frontage and housing all the kitchen equipment for preparing food and drinks. Barstools and high tables along the full-height windows afford visitors a good view of the lively street corner as well as a small public square. Two large tables with benches and chairs invite guests to stay and enjoy the art on display.

The use of raw materials and surfaces – predominantly concrete and wood – underlines the simple but elegant style of the café and bar.
