Project type: Residential
Location: Vecaki, Latvia
Client: Andris Treijs, Juris Murnieks
Size: 2,595 sqm
Situated near the Baltic Sea in the midst of native woodland, the design for this residential complex preserves as much as possible of the existing landscape. A compound of sixteen private multi-storey villas are woven between the trees of the woodland so that they relate closely to their beautiful environment.
Each apartment features a balcony that connects all the rooms along one façade and provides its own view of the woodland. Like a treehouse, the construction is inserted into the fabric of the woodland and built around existing trees, offering its residents an intimate and direct experience of its surroundings.
