START OF CONSTRUCTION FOR APASSIONATA MUNICH

  |   News

With the APASSIONATA Theme Park in Munich another GRAFT design will be realized soon. The horse adventure park will be constructed within the next 10 months in the immediate neighborhood of the Allianz Arena in the Munich quarter of Fröttmaning, and will be the new leisure attraction in the Bavarian capital including a show palace and a theme park.

GRAFT and the APASSIONATA team developed an architectural draft for the park inhabiting 12 theme pavilions, presenting an interactive adventure to the visitors. The show palace that offers place for 1700 visitors and forms a symbiotic and creative relationship with the surrounding area is the core of the adventure- an exciting connection between nature and show.

GRAFT and APASSIONATA create a unique themed world that fits the vision and the brand of the extraordinary horse show.

After a design competition in 2015, GRAFT is now looking forward to the collaboration during the implementation phase: the first show in the new theme park Munich is planned for March 2017.

VOTE FOR GRAFT AT “ARCHITEKTURPREIS BERLIN 2016”

The two GRAFT projects “Parametrische (T)Raumgestaltung” and “Holistic Living” are listed for a General Public Award at Architekturpreis Berlin 2016!

The objective of the scientific research project “Parametrische (T)Raumgestaltung” was the development of two pioneering intensive care rooms that help to reduce fear, helplessness and stress through a holistic architectural approach.

http://www.apb2016.de/2016/Projekte/073/

GRAFT also designed plus-energy houses (one single-family house and 2 semi-detached houses), all of them environment-friendly buildings that join mobility, energy and health. The project is an unrivaled holistic approach that connects modern architecture, innovative building equipment, and e-mobility as well as sustainability and physical health. The houses even generate a surplus of energy that will be used to charge an e-car that the tenant rents with the house.

The Berlin Architectural Prize is given every three years to architects and their clients for outstanding architectural projects.

HEIMAT2 – DIGNIFIED HOUSING SOLUTIONS FOR REFUGEES

  |   News

Looking at the unprecedented movement of refugees that Germany faces at the moment, GRAFT is taking its responsibilities as entrepreneur and contributes to the supply of dignified housing.

GRAFT founding partners Wolfram Putz, Thomas Willemeit and Lars Krückeberg were acting responsibly and founded “Heimat2” (second home), amalgamated with three other companies from the fields of project development and financing as well as communication. The project ”Heimat2” aims at erecting apartments in modular and system design to present a sustainable solution to hosting refugees and thus overcome the structural shortage of houses for them.

Included in the draft is the attempt to not just create living areas, but a livable residential village, something that can act as a model, something that is architectural appealing, integrative and allows a dignified life.
The first building will be realized in 2016 in Berlin and other locations. “Heimat2” is also working on other solutions in the international context, so that other countries will be relieved from the question of hosting refugees.

“Heimat2” is an amalgamation of GRAFT GmbH, COMTERRA CARE GmbH and LEPI Ventures GmbH in collaboration with Bernstein Group and H.W. Pausch.
