Modern planning methods - BIM

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an integral part of our planning process. We exploit its advantages throughout the course of the project, whether it is a new construction or renovation project. From the outset, we closely involve specialist engineers in the planning process, enabling us to identify and resolve problems before they become project risks.

We contribute our experience to the BIM Alliance, which develops Germany-wide standards for BIM project planning. For example, GRAFT was involved in the research project for the digital building application.

Agile project management

When working on smaller task packages or partial services, we work in sprints using agile project management methods. We have formulated the following guiding principles for ourselves:

- People and interaction are balanced with process and tools.
- Operation must be documented.
- Good cooperation with the customer is based on good contract negotiations.
- It is better to react (and document) to change than to strictly follow a plan.

Agile approaches are well-suited to chaotic and complex tasks. They are ideal when the goal is unclear.

Collaboration with partners and customers

By using integrated project delivery (IPD) and agile project management, we encourage open, collaborative partnerships. Through iterative work processes, short decision-making paths, and a high degree of flexibility, we can respond to changes early on and manage complex projects optimally with clients and specialist planners. The process is guided by customer satisfaction and the solution-oriented integration of customer feedback.
