Community Rote Kaserne

On the site of the former ‘Rote Kaserne’ – red barracks – in Potsdam, GRAFT has developed a masterplan for the development of a 20,500 m² site.

The site is for predominantly residential use and features three different housing types: terraced houses, town houses and terraced town houses. This approach differentiates the new developments clearly from the existing buildings, extension and new structures and is further underlined by the building’s choice of materials and rectangular ‘cubic’ design language.
