Directors's Award for Make it Right Foundation
The Make it Right Foundation (MIR), founded by GRAFT, Brad Pitt, Bill McDonough, and the Cherokee Foundation, developed affordable and sustainable housing typologies for low income households in order to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
MIR was now awarded with the National Design Award in the category Director’s Award!
The National Design Awards celebrate design as a vital humanistic tool in shaping the world, and seek to increase awareness of design by educating the public and promoting excellence, innovation, and lasting achievement in American design.
