Paragon Apartments received the Deutscher Bauherrenpreis 2018

GRAFT received the Deutscher Bauherrenpreis 2018 (German Builders Award) in the category “Residential Conversion” for their project Paragon Apartments. The award ceremony took place in the Palais am Funkturm of Messe Berlin, during the construction fair bautec, on the evening of February 21 2018.

In four assessment categories, GRAFT not only convinced in terms of building cost optimization in the interplay between cost-efficient solutions, as well as durable materials and detail work. Particularly in the fields of urban planning, free space, energy efficiency and climate protection, construction process and logistics, social usability, forms and experiments of cooperation, the residential quarter Paragon Apartments scored points in its interdisciplinary nature.

The Deutsche Bauherrenpreis is awarded each year be the GdW Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungs- und Immobilienunternehmen e.V. (Association of German Housing and Real Estate Companies), the Bund Deutscher Architekten BDA (Association of German Architects), and the Deutscher Städtetag DST (Association of German Cities). It aims to strengthen the collaboration between municipalities, architects and urban planners at the federal level in order to address solutions to current problems in urban housing and urban planning.
