Together with Wiegerinck (DE/NL), SLA Landscape Architects (DK/NOR), Ingenieurbüro Dr. Binnewies, and Ingenieurbüro T. Wackermann (both Hamburg), we have formed an international team with outstanding expertise in hospital construction. We are proud and happy to have received special recognition in the competition for the new hospital of the BG Kliniken in Hamburg.

Our proposal translates the functional requirements of the hospital into a clearly structured architectural language that is simultaneously integrated into the landscape. The building volumes respond to the topography with a staggered height and interweave with the surrounding green spaces, creating a harmonious overall impression.
The spatial concept is divided into three areas: Low Care, High Care, and a connecting element with the entrance and access points. These cell-like structures are clearly linked, enabling efficient organization and flexibility for future expansion.

At the interfaces of the functional areas, vertical high points emerge, creating striking urban accents while simultaneously offering views across the Boberg lowlands. The distinctive silhouette with its two towers enhances the building's recognizability and integrates the helicopter landing pad into the overall ensemble.
The design thus creates a functionally precise, clearly structured, and sustainably expandable building structure that architecturally defines the site.
