Villa Schwanenwerder

The appearance of the villa has been kept intentionally modest, so that it fits into the surrounding landscape. The villa is therefore divided into three main sections, each rising from the topography as one progresses towards the street. The three separate forms appear to embrace one another, creating a natural dynamic flow of space that guides visitors deeper into the site and the lake beyond. The design both benefits from and enhances the qualities of its location. The floor plans of the main building sections likewise intersect, creating interesting spatial and functional intersections.
