New publication Architecture Activism out now

With the new publication ARCHITECTURE ACTIVISM, GRAFT addresses social problems and societal needs around the globe in which architecture is used as a means of actively fostering the development of livable spaces and environments.

GRAFT founding partners Lars Krückeberg, Wolfram Putz, and Thomas Willemeit state that ARCHITECTURE ACTIVISM is about contributing to the world, helping people in need, not just waiting for the next client, but doing something, being active.

The book portrays ten GRAFT projects that specifically follow this approach. Among them are Make It Right Foundation, SOLARKIOSK, and Heimat2. Projects on an international level that show that good design is not a first world privilege.

ARCHITECTURE ACTIVISM is published by Birkhäuser Verlag and available from 23th May 2016.
